The type of plant we are experimenting on is kale. Are plant has surprisingly made it through.

The (parent plant) kales come from a species of plants called brassica plants. kale isn't the only plant that comes from brassica other plants that also come from brassica are cabbage, brussel sprouts, kohlrabi, broccoli, and cauliflower. brassica plants it grows mainly in coastal areas.

This insect was found close to our plant and we suspect that this insect is the one leaving all the bite marks on our plant. even though its rather small we think that there is more than one of them that are eating of the plant. for now our plant is just holding on for its life hopefully it makes it through.

This insect was found next tour plant we suspect that this insect is the one causing the white spots but not the bite marks. we think this because this insect has like a sucker to extract juices from the plant and we believe that by the insect doing that it makes the plant grow white spots.

This picture was taking by one of my partners. this picture of our plants leaf shows us that there are white spots all over the plant. our hypothesis for what may have caused this is we think a type of insect may have caused this it may have just been eating it or put some kind of saliva onto the plant which therefore caused it to grow white spots on the leafs of the plant. our experiment for finding out what caused the plant to grow white spots is to try to find other plants around our homes that have white spots and try to find the type of insects that live there. to see which insect may have caused it.

About Our Project

ABOUT PAGE

In this project we are working on how to grow a seed.  In the beggining we started off with a plastic bag and a wet napkin. We put our seeds inside the napkins and they started to grow. Then we put them inside a black tray of soil and they started to grow even more. Then we planted them inside a garden and hopefully they will grow more. We took out dirt and added the plant inside. Then we poured water. The name of the plant that we had was dino kale.
